DRUG DESCRIPTION

Transparent oily solution, from yellow to light yellow color, with characteristic smell. Decabol 250 is produced by British Dragon Pharma. Its active ingredient is Nandrolone Decanoate. Nandrolone decanoate is an anabolic steroid that is used for increasing muscle mass and strength. It is a very popular steroid, since it does not produce many estrogenic side effects.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Nandrolone decanoate is also popular among athletes because it alleviates joint pain by storing water in connective tissue. Nandrolone decanoate has a very low rate of aromatization, which means it does not convert to the female sex hormone through the aromatase enzyme. Also, it does not convert to di-hydrotestosterone, which means that it decreases the risk of developing androgen-related side effects. It is a very nice steroid in terms that it causes gains in quality muscle and lean mass. One of the advantages of nandrolone decanoate over other steroids is that it increases the red blood cell production and bone density. Nandrolone decanoate is a very popular steroid and its trade name is "Deca Durabolin".

DOSES AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION

As already mentioned, Decabol 250 is a popular steroid among athletes and it comes in form of injected solution. It has a very long active life, which means that it does not need to be injected on a daily basis. It is known for producing quality muscle gains and lean mass, it has to be administered for at least 12 weeks, in some cases its use may be prolonged to 16 weeks. Even if it has to be administered for an extended period of time, it is a safe and mild steroid, which is highly anabolic and not very androgenic. The usual dose of nandrolone decanoate in a bulking cycle is up to 600mg per week for a period of time from 12 to 16 weeks. The drug needs to be injected once or twice a week. If the athlete intends to use nandrolone decanoate for a cutting cycle, the usual dose is 400mg per week, again for a period of time up to 16 weeks. Generally, nandrolone decanoate needs to be used in combination with testosterone and for decreasing the risk of developing estrogen related side effects, it is recommended to use anti-progesteronic drugs such as Cabergoline and Bromocriptine.

SIDE EFFECTS

Like any other anabolic steroid, Decabol 250 may cause side effects. These may differ in frequency, intensity and duration. As already mentioned, nandrolone decanoate does not convert into dihydrotestosterone; therefore the risk of developing side effects such as hair loss, acne and male pattern baldness is very low. Considering a low interaction with aromatase enzyme, the risk of developing estrogen-related side effects is low;

The most common side effects with nandrolone decanoate are the following:

• Water retention. In order to decrease the risk of water retention, it is recommended to take one of the aromatase inhibitors such as Letrozole.
• Increased appetite;
• Excitation;
• Aggressive behavior;
• Frequent and persistent erections or so called erectile dysfunction;
