How to inject steroids?

3.     Empty the air. For this step you need to place the needle into the solution and push all the air in.

4.     Draw the oil into the syringe. For this step you need to know the dosage you are going to inject and simply pull the plunger of the syringe back until the right dose is in.

5.     Remove the air bubbles. After getting the right amount of steroid in the syringe, push the plunger and remove all air bubbles.

6.     Determine the injection site and disinfect it with alcohol. As already mentioned, the procedure is very alike with injecting any other medicine. Therefore, follow the same steps, put some alcohol on a cotton pad and disinfect the muscle where you will inject the steroid.

7.     After following all the previous steps you can plunge the needle into the injection site and pull the syringe back. Do not inject before making sure there is no blood into the syringe. If this is the case, remove the needle and choose another injection site.

8.     Inject the steroid. Once the needle is in and no blood entered into the syringe, you are ready to inject the steroid. Simply push the plunger until all the solution has entered into the muscle.

What else should you know about injecting the steroids?

·        After injecting the steroid, make sure all the solution has entered deep into the muscle.

·        Remove the needle and place a clean cotton pad directly over the injected area and keep it for 20 seconds.

·        Remove the cotton pad and massage the area for a few seconds to make sure all the solution dispersed even and deep into the muscle.
